Talega Golf Club in San Clemente is very highly rated as one of the best public courses in Orange County. About 30 minutes south of Anaheim, this course was designed by Fred Couples and the Schidt-Curley group as an 18 hole championship golf course that wanders through stunning natural canyons and marchlands, sprinkled with white marble sand bunkers and crowned on each fairway with fast, undulating greens.

While the course doesn't have a practice range, the after golf facilities are excellent!
